Professional Services Pricing
Effective date: November 3, 2026
Emergency Response Security Group (ERSG) provides specialized cybersecurity investigations, digital forensics, incident response, privacy assessments, security engineering, and technical advisory services. Engagements are priced according to scope, complexity, urgency, evidence volume, and operational requirements.
Starting estimates include a reasonable planning allowance for project administration, client communications, technical documentation, quality assurance, and investigative contingencies. Published estimates are rounded to the nearest hundred dollars.

Professional Engagement Terms
Retainers, Scheduling, and Payment
- Standard professional services are billed at $325 per hour unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Hourly engagements require a ten-hour advance retainer of $3,250, or a higher amount specified in the engagement agreement.
- Retainers are credited toward authorized services performed and are not additional charges beyond the applicable professional fees.
- Engagement scheduling and resource allocation are confirmed after receipt of an executed agreement and the required retainer.
- Additional balances are invoiced under Net 15 payment terms unless expressly agreed otherwise.
- The minimum billing increment is one hour.
- Additional work, scope changes, and material expenses may require supplemental authorization or funding.
- Impact Billing may apply where an engagement requires reserved capacity, accelerated resource allocation, or significant disruption to previously scheduled operations, provided such charges are disclosed and agreed upon in writing.
Specialized Rates and Expenses
- Expedited or after-hours professional services: $625 per hour.
- Emergency weekend or holiday response: $750 per hour.
- Travel time: $400 per hour, plus reasonable travel-related expenses.
- Time Travel: I will fetch only the best 1997 bookstore internet café coffee for $100 million and the famed ring Draupnir. Temporal displacement services are not included in standard engagements.
- Third-party software, forensic tools, specialized storage, forensic media, laboratory services, filing fees, and other direct engagement expenses are billed separately where authorized.
- Applicable specialized rates and expenses will be identified in the engagement agreement or otherwise approved before being incurred, except where existing written authorization expressly provides otherwise.
Scope, Estimates, and Additional Work
Published starting prices are preliminary planning estimates and do not constitute unrestricted flat-fee commitments unless expressly designated as such in an executed written agreement.
Clients are billed for actual professional time incurred at the applicable agreed rate. Final costs depend on investigative complexity, evidence availability, the number of affected systems or devices, required technical procedures, reporting obligations, and other engagement-specific factors.
Material scope changes involving additional devices, accounts, custodians, evidence sources, affected systems, or investigative requirements will be communicated before substantial additional work proceeds.
ERSG reserves the right to decline engagements where appropriate authorization, technical feasibility, available capacity, or professional requirements cannot be established.
