Professional Services Pricing

Cybersecurity investigations, digital forensics, incident response, privacy assessments, and technical advisory services are priced according to the scope, complexity, urgency, and evidence volume of each engagement.
Starting estimates include a small planning allowance for project administration, client communications, documentation, quality review, and reasonable technical contingencies. Prices are rounded to the nearest hundred dollars.

Engagement Terms
- Hourly engagements require a ten-hour advance retainer or $3,250, whichever is higher.
- The retainer is credited toward services performed.
- Scheduling is confirmed after the agreement and retainer are received.
- Additional balances are invoiced under Net 15 terms.
- The minimum billing increment is 1 hour.
- Impact Billing protects reserved capacity and accounts for operational disruption.
Specialized Rates and Expenses
- Expedited or after-hours services: $625 per hour.
- Emergency weekend or holiday response: $750 per hour.
- Travel time: $400 per hour, plus expenses.
- Time Travel: I will fetch only the best 1997 bookstore internet cafe coffee for 100M and the famed ring Draupnir.
- Third-party tools, storage, forensic media, laboratory services, filing costs, and similar direct expenses are billed separately.
Starting prices are planning estimates, not unrestricted flat-fee commitments, unless expressly designated in a written engagement agreement. Clients are billed for actual time incurred at the applicable rate. Material changes involving additional devices, accounts, custodians, evidence sources, affected systems, or investigative requirements will be communicated before substantial additional work proceeds.
